Text Box: One of our great family Friends, Rosie DiPalo Breslin, helped celebrate her three grand children’s birthdays all in November. The Tesoriero’s, Vincent to the left turned 4, Tyler to the right turned 15, and Victoria to the right turned 2. All three are brother and sister. Last year in November their father had passed away. Our friend Rosie, has hand nothing but kind words to say about her wonderful son-in-law, Thomas.
Text Box: Another year of taking the 400 mile trip to my sister Angela’s house to see her and the family for Thanksgiving. It was a good visit for mom to see everyone and shake some of her memories about them. It was a real good visit for most of the trip. I did say most. My reception by my sister, brother in law and grown up nieces, Lori and Lisa was great, but I a little concerned about the teenage children. For almost the entire visit they were consumed with texting, and mom and I weren’t noticed at all. After I wrote a scathing post on Facebook that was read by all of them and their friends things turned around for the last two days. Sometimes it’s so difficult to push family values. We were always very close and they needed a jolt. After the jolt I gave them, I couldn’t get rid of them. It was obvious that they were upset with themselves and tried desperately to make it up to me. They really tried too hard. I was wishing they went back to texting. Our visit wound up to be great. It was like old times. We’re going back for Christmas.
